About this area
Two 1955–57 tracts, one dividing street, one corridor
Why the rectangle and the corridor are different jobs
The tracts' most intact portions lie in the rectangle formed by Plummer Street, Tunney Avenue, Devonshire Street and Tampa Avenue, centred along Calvin Avenue, with Lassen Street dividing the two subdivisions. That rectangle is not necessarily the full legal extent of either subdivision, so this page does not present it as the complete tract boundary. The tracts cross the NWNC/NENC divide — Tampa is west of Reseda, Tunney east of it — which is another reason not to force tract pages into council boxes.
Roof repair, replacement, leak detection and inspection in Devonshire, Northridge
The tracts' roofing character is sourced in unusual detail: sprawling Traditional Ranches, with a few Contemporary and Cinderella Ranches, whose gabled roofs extend over a one-car garage, with wide eaves and vergeboards, on lots up to half an acre, with curvilinear streets, cul-de-sacs, stone and masonry subdivision walls, and a wide median of pine trees along Superior Street in Devonshire Highlands. Eave, fascia and vergeboard detailing, garage-roof junctions and wide-eave wind exposure are therefore tract-specific topics, not generic ones.
